edith sodergran, the luck cat poet

Of all our sunny world
I wish only for a garden sofa
where a cat is sunning itself. . .
-- "A Wish"

Remember the poem "Luck Cat" that I posted a while ago?  Here's another charming page of photos of and by the poet Edith Sodergran (Finnish/Swedish, 1892-1923).  And this page is in Russian, but it has photos of her memorial stone and a sculpture of her favorite cat Totti.
Be sure and try some of her other poems: they're full of vivid imagery and sweet longing.

This is wonderful, as is the link to Edith Sodergran. Through this I discovered The Cultural Cat! Thank you!

Uh oh - Look out, there might be a Trojan on that page all of a sudden :( which would be a shame as it's such a lovely site.
