lazy museum sunday

What I did this lazy Sunday:
Baked a biscotti Elizabeth.
(Longtime readers may remember the one I made of our dog Cash.)

Did some Valentine's Day shopping.

Watched Veronica loll about shamelessly.

Stately, kindly, lordly friend,
 Condescend
Here to sit by me, and turn
Glorious eyes that smile and burn,
 Golden eyes, love's lustrous meed,
On the golden page I read.

All your wondrous wealth of hair,
 Dark and fair,
 Silken-shaggy, soft and bright
As the clouds and beams of night,
 Pays my reverent hand's caress
 Back with friendlier gentleness.

  1. Gorgeous poem! I'm forwarding it to my cat-loving friend. (She lives with seven cats.)

  5. Oh it IS yummy! I like to make my biscotti with lemon zest, but orange zest will do too.
