happy valentine's day!

Here in the Pacific NW it's still cold on a February night.  If you're so lucky as to have a fireplace (I'm not) it's lovely to bask with someone special, whether human or furry (or feathered or leathery?  Everybody gets appreciation here).  This appealing piece is "Fire Fancies," by English classicist painter Arthur Hacker (1858-1919).

If it weren't so hot here in the Australian summer, I'd feel warmed by the glorious colors in that painting. It's beautiful
