In the 17th century, in what is now Iran, the artist Mir Afzal put brush to paper to illustrate temptation and sensuousness.
What did he show? A richly dressed woman lounging with limbs carelessly draped, watching her tiny dog drink the wine she has poured for him from a bowl. Not too responsible, right? Exactly. So the Tate points out, and offers more about it here.
