just feel the sun with belinda del pesco

Sunshine, fresh air, grass, flowers:  all necessary to the soul.  In Belinda Del Pesco's print Girl & Her Dog Just Feel the Sun, two souls are enjoying that much-needed refreshment.  Of course the first thing you see is the bliss on the girl's face, but then you realize that her dog is there behind her, gazing at her like she's the biggest part of the day's wonder.  What the dog knows is that he loves his human and that he is feeling good and is happy.  Sometimes that simple state is the hardest thing for our frenzied brains to achieve, which is why you should have a dog.
Belinda says of this piece,

It was inspired by one of those days when a self-inflicted pity party was interrupted by a reminder that life is good, and it's all a matter of perspective. The dog always knew that; it was the human who was doubtful. Sometimes, we just need to turn our faces away from the shadows, and into the warm sunlight to "just feel the sun."
